Interesting quote. I think though that recipes have soul. I know when I make a recipe that was my grandmother’s, I think of it as having a soul and that it is being passed down to me so that I can keep passing. That way the soul is never forgotten. On the other hand I do think every cook adds soul to a recipe when they make it their own! Sounds like you have some great things to look forward to!

Mmmm, good things here! And thanks for including me. It’s true about the soul thing — part of me is really in each dish I make. Particularly if I cut myself while making it. šŸ˜€

Is that an original piece of creative writing, Mama? I love it. Truly the soul of a recipe ultimately comes from the chef. Love the dishes you highlighted.

Well sort of original, but I was inspired by other material. I love the dishes I highlighted
      too.

Thank you so much for including me in your round-up! I agree that the cook makes the recipe. Otherwise, it’s just a list of ingredients and steps. Well said! šŸ™‚

Yep, which sounds easy. Here’s what you do. Duh. Well for some reason it doesn’t work that
way. Pie crust and pastries quickly teach a person that!!!!
