Sweetly Sour Carrots
Ingredients
- 1 pound CARROTS, peeled and thinly sliced
- ¼ cup +3 tablespoons CHICKEN BROTH
- 1 tablespoon SALAD OIL
- 1 tablespoon CORN STARCH
- 1 small ONION cut in ¼ inch slices
- 2 tablespoons VINEGAR
- 2 tablespoons BROWN SUGAR SALT to taste
Instructions
- ) Mix sugar & cornstarch together
- ) Add ¼ cup chicken broth and vinegar---set aside
- ) Heat non stick frying pan or wok to hot heat & add oil
- ) Add carrots and onions, stir fry for 1 minute
- ) Add 3 tablespoons of chicken broth
- ) Cover, reduce the heat to medium
- ) Cook until tender, but still crisp to the bite
- ) Increase the heat to high and pour in the sauce that was set aside
- ) Stir until sauce thickens, which will be quick--salt to taste
- ) Serve to four lucky people
