Easy Italian Sausage Manicotti

So easy to stuff when the manicotti is uncooked.

Easy Italian Sausage Manicotti

Ingredients
  • 1 lb BULK ITALIAN SAUSAGE
  • 1 28 oz can CRUSHED TOMATOES
  • 1 jar GARLIC BASIL SAUCE
  • 2 EGGS, beaten
  • 1 cup PARMESAN CHEESE, grated
  • 1 cup MOZZARELLA CHEESE, shredded
  • 3 cups RICOTTA CHEESE
  • 18 MANICOTTI SHELLS
  • ½ teaspoon DRIED BASIL
  • ½ teaspoon DRIED OREGANO
  • ½ teaspoon GARLIC POWDER
  • ½ teaspoon SALT
  • ½ teaspoon PEPPER
  • 4 tablespoons PARSLEY, finely chopped
  • ½ cup BLACK OLIVES, finely chopped
Instructions
  1. ) In a large skillet brown the sausage until no longer pink
  2. ) Drain & set aside
  3. ) Bring the garlic basil sauce & crushed tomatoes to a boil
  4. ) Reduce head & simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, then add sausage
  5. ) In a large bowl mix until well blended eggs, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, parsley & olives
  6. ) Pour 1¼ cup sauce into TWO 13 X 9 inch baking dishes
  7. ) Stuff cheese mixture into UNCOOKED manicotti shells
  8. ) Arrange 9 shells in each dish
  9. ) Cover the manicotti with remaining sauce
  10. ) Cover & bake at 375 degrees F for 50 minutes
  11. ) Uncover & sprinkle with mozzarella cheese
  12. ) Bake another 10 minutes or until manicotti are fork tender
  13. ) 8 to 10 servings
