Over the Moon Buttermilk Pecan Pie
Ingredients
- 2 cups SUGAR
- 5 EGGS
- ½ cup BUTTERMILK
- 1 cup PECANS, coarsely chopped
- ½ cup (1 stick) BUTTER or MARGARINE
- 2 tablespoons ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
- 2 tablespoons LEMON JUICE
- 1 teaspoon VANILLA
- 1 10-in PIE SHELL, unbaked
Instructions
- ) Cream the butter & sugar together until fluffy
- ) Add the eggs one at time & mixing well after each one
- ) Add buttermilk, lemon juice, flour & vanilla, blend well
- ) Add the pecans & stir
- ) Pour into the pie shell
- ) Bake 55 min at 325 degrees F or until a knife inserted in the middle of the pie comes out clean
- ) Serves 8
