Over the Moon Buttermilk Pecan Pie

It’s hard to believe something this tasty is cooked buttermilk.

Over the Moon Buttermilk Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  • 2 cups SUGAR
  • 5 EGGS
  • ½ cup BUTTERMILK
  • 1 cup PECANS, coarsely chopped
  • ½ cup (1 stick) BUTTER or MARGARINE
  • 2 tablespoons ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 2 tablespoons LEMON JUICE
  • 1 teaspoon VANILLA
  • 1 10-in PIE SHELL, unbaked
Instructions
  1. ) Cream the butter & sugar together until fluffy
  2. ) Add the eggs one at time & mixing well after each one
  3. ) Add buttermilk, lemon juice, flour & vanilla, blend well
  4. ) Add the pecans & stir
  5. ) Pour into the pie shell
  6. ) Bake 55 min at 325 degrees F or until a knife inserted in the middle of the pie comes out clean
  7. ) Serves 8
