Perky Pumpkin Biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
- 3 tablespoons SUGAR
- 4 teaspoons BAKING POWDER
- ½ teaspoon SALT
- ½ teaspoon CINNAMON
- ½ cup BUTTER
- ⅓ cup WALNUTS, chopped
- ½ cup HALF N HALF
- ⅔ cup CANNED PUMPKIN
Instructions
- ) Sift together all the dry ingredients
- ) Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
- ) Mix in walnuts
- ) Combine pumpkin & cream together, mix just enough to moisten. Dough will be stiff
- ) Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface & knead a few times
- ) Roll out to ½ inch thick. Cut with 2 inch cutter
- ) Place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheet
- ) Bake at 425 degrees F until brown about 20 minutes
- ) Heat hot with butter, honey or jam. Makes 20 biscuits
