Perky Pumpkin Biscuits

Perky Pumpkin Biscuits

Ingredients
  • 2 cups ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 3 tablespoons SUGAR
  • 4 teaspoons BAKING POWDER
  • ½ teaspoon SALT
  • ½ teaspoon CINNAMON
  • ½ cup BUTTER
  • ⅓ cup WALNUTS, chopped
  • ½ cup HALF N HALF
  • ⅔ cup CANNED PUMPKIN
Instructions
  1. ) Sift together all the dry ingredients
  2. ) Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs
  3. ) Mix in walnuts
  4. ) Combine pumpkin & cream together, mix just enough to moisten. Dough will be stiff
  5. ) Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface & knead a few times
  6. ) Roll out to ½ inch thick. Cut with 2 inch cutter
  7. ) Place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheet
  8. ) Bake at 425 degrees F until brown about 20 minutes
  9. ) Heat hot with butter, honey or jam. Makes 20 biscuits
