I had to put this wee blog on the club roster, because it’s a true celebration that life is good. It’s my Birthday on the 15th. I love my birthday!!!!! Some people are quite sour about them. For reasons beyond my comprehension, these people want to ignore their own birthdays—-their special day. Why? When it’s someone else’s birthday, it’s a time to show your appreciation that they were born and have touched your life. When it’s your own birthday, it’s celebrating you are alive and are grateful for that state of being.
My two sons and their families and I of course—because I’m the birthday ‘girl’—-I use the term ‘girl’ rather loosely—-oh well—-are going to lunch. Even though we all live within an hour of each other, getting together is a treat which only happens a few times a year.
So I’m shouting out from the roof tops—–what am I talking about? I’m not climbing up on a roof to shout anything. Thank the Heavens I can do my shouting sitting in my chair with my feet up via my computer!!!!! So metaphorically speaking—I am shouting from the roof tops, Life is Good!!!!!
I’m to the age where a chunk of my fantasies involve food, particularly desserts. So this fantasy is for my birthday, I have a dessert bar to choose from. I can eat as many as I want without getting too full or fat. Aaaah.

It was easy peasy to include that absolutely awesome flan. Wowzer. I wish I really really could have all
those goodies without the dang consequences.

Happy belated birthday! Wish I could send you some biscotti. It’s almost that time of year where the kitchen becomes a holiday baking factory! Thanks for the shout out.

Happy Birthday! The desserts look delicious. You do have a good eye for deserts. And yes I am one of those people that struggles to be happy on my birthday, but I have gotten better about it. I make sure something happens that I want to happen, rather than wait around for someone to notice that it is my birthday, because that may or may not happen. 🙂
Carol says
Yay for you for taking charge of your own happiness. It also helps if you remind people how many shopping days they have left prior to you birthday. Lol!

Happy belated birthday Darlin!!!!! Of course you should still be celebrating. I always celebrate for a week and as my husband has pointed out yesterday…this week is birthday week! YES…I’m a fellow Libra and another one that is always thankful to have made it another year. I’m with you…Life is Good!!! Now I think I’ll go make dessert. 🙂 You’ve given me some great choices.

Another Libra! No wonder I like you so much! I have the same philosophy of stretching my birthday out as long as I can.
I know I have it stretched to a week at least because next Sunday another birthday dinner is happening for me. Yay! Thank you for the birthday greeting. Right back at you!
